DirectX 9 still supports DirectDraw7, right? Someone please tell me why I'm getting linker errors when I try my program... (undefined references to IID_IDirectDraw7 and DirectDrawCreateEx@16).
For those of you that can't tell what I'm saying, I'm trying to write a game, and I'm having just a *little* bit of trouble. (

In other news, I've started writing comics again (fakeplace.blogspot.com and www.luminousinvictus.com). The second Welcome to Fakeplace is currently hanging in the laundry room to dry.
There's an interesting story behind that one. My fountain pen stopped dispensing ink again, and a light shake usually helps it to flow again. Well, I shake it a bit, it starts writing again, I look down at the comic, and sure enough, there's little ink spots all over it. Well, frustrating, but no big deal. I can just get the liquid paper and clear them out, then fix the liquid paper discoloring when I fix it on the compy. Right? Wrong.
I take out the little brush, clean up all the little spots, finish, then go to put the brush back in bottle. Sure enough, I look at my hand, which is holding the bottle a little to the side, then at my paper, which has a nice long whiteout spot on it.
So my comic is hanging out to dry before I go at inking it again. Fortunately, none of it got on the characters. Don't want to have to do that again, especially after I worked pretty hard at making them look better than usual. Trying to improve my form. It's better, but still not perfect.
I haven't been out taking photos lately. Need to get into that again. Maybe when the pumpkins grow some more.
Wait, we've got the sunflowers again. Maybe I can take the Minolta out and get some good shots.
Well, that's all I've got for now. Yes, yes, laugh at my peril.

EDIT: Alright, the WtF (funny how the initials of that comic worked out) comic that I hung out to dry is online. fakeplace.blogspot.com &n… expect any amazing art, just laughs. And suspense. Maybe.

For those of you I don't know, I'm in college. Whee. It's okay. Miss old friends, but other than that, things are going pretty well. We just got a Gamecube in the room, so that's pretty cool.

Yes, I know I haven't updated. Suffice to say I've been pretty busy (see above). I'm taking Drawing next semester, so you may/may not see more/higher quality work in the future. I have some unfinished comics lying around, I may get to those this weekend. Maybe.
